I've read a lot of complaints about particular practices/speeches by specific people in the Muslim world, but I've never seen anything like this.

Many criminals, the enemies of Islam, ask: “How could the Prophet Muhammad, at 52 years of age, marry ‘Aisha when she was only 8 years old, and consummate the marriage when she was 9 years old?” I say to them: People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Why do you permit your young girls to fornicate? They consider it one of their liberties. Therefore, in these stupid countries, you rarely find girls aged 10 or 12 who are still virgins. They permit this.

How many bad and incorrect things can we find just in this short text segment?

1) While there may be enemies of Islam who ask this question, I would expect a lot more non-enemies of Islam, or even friends of Islam to ask the same question.

2) A 52 year old man marrying an 8 year old girl. Imagine a third grader saying, "my husband is picking me up after school."

UPDATE: just recently an 8 year old girl in Yemen got a divorce from a 30 year old man:

“I hated nights because they usually meant that my husband would come to my bed. I used to run from him and he would chase me and beat me and do his thing. I pray that my younger sisters do not face the same fate,” said Nojoud. Now the 8-year-old is living with her uncle and his family in relative safety.

3) One year later... eeewww.

4) Thinking that the West "permits" 10 or 12 year old girls to "fornicate".

5) That allowing girls (presumably older ones) the freedom to "fornicate" is somehow wrong.

6) That what might happen voluntarily in rare cases between two underage kids is morally equivalent to something between a powerful old guy and a little girl.

7) That it's actually "rare" to find 10 to 12 year old virgins in non-Muslim countries.

8) There are no "stupid countries", just stupid people.
